A series that will not only introduce you to some of the dog parks around the mornington peninsula but we will also be sharing some fun facts and information about a different breed of dog for every cache in the series! Although they are numbered they don't have to be done in order. We have also got our resident experts, Ebony (Gnome5580s geodog!) And Calypso (Beckgizs geodog!) Who will be giving each dog park a score of 1 to 5 paws depending on how much she approves of this park! 🐶 we hope you enjoy this series as much as Ebony and Calypso had testing each of these parks out 😉 and on that note here is their opinion of this park:
OAKRIDGE RESERVE:
This little reserve is not too far from padua college and has got a fairly good sized playground and a good amount of clear area too for kids and puppies to have a run around and of course there is the fully fenced dog park which is pretty good as well! It's a smaller area than most but its got some nice shady seats and also an agility course if your doggos are good at that sort of thing. While this is a nice little dog park there's no water actually in the dog park although there is some at the playground but because of this Ebony and Caly give this park 4 out of 5 paws. Our breed for this one is one of the most popular small breeds in Australia and is quite often bred with other small breeds such as poodles, Shih tzu, Jack Russells, pugs and several other common breeds! This breed is the:
MALTESE
The Maltese is a breed of dog in the toy group. It is thought to have originated in south-central Europe from dogs of spitz type. Despite the name, it has no verified historic or scientific connection to the island of Malta.

Origin: Mediterranean Basin
Temperament: Playful, Affectionate, Sweet-Tempered, Intelligent, Easygoing, Docile
Weight: Male: 3–4 kg, Female: 3–4 kg
It traditionally has a silky, pure-white coat, hanging ears and a tail that curves over its back, and weighs up to 3.6 kilograms.
They were bred as companion and lap dogs and quite often still perform that role today!
The Cache:
You are looking for a 200ml sistema that may require a little bit of elevation to retrieve (depending on how tall you are! 😉) it may take some extra geosenses to find this one and at times it could be very busy here so stealth is definitely required but as always have fun! 🤠
