The hotel here was once the the hub of Canberra's social calendar and now forms a part of the busy New West Acton precinct. "The Lakeside Hotel was the social focal point of the city during the 1970s and the early 1980s," "It was the go-to place when you needed to host a wedding, party or conference." Now rebadged and refurbished, the hotel still holds memories for many long-term Canberrans.
TO FIND THIS MULTI
The area at posted coordinates has changed considerably as the work to install the new tram across Lake Burley Griffin is in progress. A cache has been hidden nearby until the work is finished (refer Final Coordinates). I have not changed the D/T, the size remains a small and I have updated the hint to reflect the new hide.
