- Adventure labs, locationless caches, benchmarks, & waymarks cannot be used to qualify for this challenge.

Backslash Challenge Series
The Backslash Challenge Series is a set of challenges located in the western part of Kern County. The challenges are placed along Reserve Road that runs from McKittrick southeast towards Taft (which makes a forward slash in the traditional north is up map). Another nearby punctuation shaped challenge series is the Kern County Challenge Series. Be sure to find all of the challenges in both series!!!
General Rules for the BCS
- The BCS caches are all at the posted coordinates unless stated otherwise.
- You should be able to find this series in a two wheel drive vehicle without leaving Reserve Road. Please do not attempt in wet weather.
- You must sign the physical cache log in order to claim the cache as found.
- You may sign the phsyical cache log before completing the challenge requirements. However, you may not log the cache as found online until you have completed the specific challenge requirements.
- You may log the cache as a "write note" to signify that you have signed the physical log, to ask questions, and/or to double check your qualifications before heading to the physical Geocache.
- You must post your supporting documentation when you log the cache as found or your online "found it" will be deleted.
- None of these challenges have any sort of date restrictions.
- Taking photos at the cache site or in the area is encouraged, but not required.
