Government of the Republic of Estonia Regulation no. 116, June 5, 1990 The Police School of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Estonia was established in the small town of Paikuse in Pärnu County. The establishment of the Paikuse Police School in 1990 was a rather bold step before the proclamation of the re-independence of the Republic of Estonia on August 20, 1991. The Police School operated as a member of the police organization of a police vocational training institution until 2004, when the school was merged with the Police College of the National Defense Academy.
The Sindi Knight's Manor (Zintenhof) has once been located on the bank of the Pärnu River (Kooli tee 12, Paikuse) at the Paikuse study unit of the Police and Border Guard Center of the National Defense Academy. In the same location, there has also been an orphanage and a shelter for the mentally ill. A special vocational school has been operating here for 25 years (Sindi Special Vocational School No. 25) and for the last 31 years police training has been provided here (popularly known as Paikuse Police School).
The College of Police and Border Guard trains police officers at the level of vocational training and applied higher education. Studies in vocational specialties last 1.5 years, applied higher education is acquired in 3 years, after which it is possible to continue studies in the Master's degree in internal security of the Academy of Internal Affairs. The co-operation partners of the College are the Police and Border Guard Board and its structural units, general education schools, CEPOL, FRONTEX and others. Teaching takes place both in Tallinn and in the Paikuse study unit of the college.

- Dormitory (former Paikuse school) parking lot and the main house
- Shooting range and autodrome, where on good luck police cars practicing can be seen

Eesti Vabariigi Valitsuse määrusega nr. 116, 5. juunist 1990 asutati Eesti Vabariigi Siseministeeriumi Politseikool Pärnu maakonnas Paikuse alevikus. Paikuse Politseikooli loomine 1990. aastal oli üpris julge samm enne 20.08.1991 Eesti Vabariigi taasiseseisvuse väljakuulutamist. Politseikool tegutses politsei kutseõppeasutusena politseiorganisatsiooni koosseisus kuni 2004. aastani, millal kool liideti Sisekaitseakadeemia Politseikolledžiga.
Sisekaitseakadeemia politsei- ja piirivalvekeskuse Paikuse õppeüksuse praeguses asukohas Pärnu jõe kaldal (Kooli tee 12, Paikuse) on kunagi olnud Sindi rüütlimõis (Zintenhof). Samas asukohas on tegutsenud muuhulgas ka lastekodu ja olnud vaimuhaigete varjupaik. 25 aastat tegutses siin erikutsekool (Sindi erikutsekool nr 25) ja viimased 31 aastat on siin antud politseilist väljaõpet (rahvasuus tuntud kui Paikuse Politseikool).
Politsei- ja piirivalvekolledž koolitab politseiametnikke kutseõppe ja rakenduskõrghariduse tasemel. Kutseõppe erialadel kestab õpe 1,5 aastat, rakenduskõrgharidus omandatakse 3 aastaga, mille järel on võimalus jätkata õpinguid Sisekaitseakadeemia sisejulgeoleku magistriõppes. Kolledži koostööpartnerid on Politsei- ja Piirivalveamet ja tema struktuuriüksused, üldhariduskoolid, CEPOL, FRONTEX jpt. Õppetöö toimub nii Tallinnas kui ka kolledži Paikuse õppeüksuses.

- naudi jalutuskäiku politseikooli territooriumil. Kõnni võimalusel mööda teed!
- ära unusta: kaamerad jälgivad su iga sammu! Ole valmis oma tegemistest aru andma! ;)
