Some people celebrate the Winter Solstice which is the shortest day of the year. I celebrate it also, but for a different reason ... the hours of darkness will be getting shorter. The daylight hours on December 22 will be three seconds longer than the day before. That is less than the five second rule for eating chocolate that fell on the ground. This gift of light is cause for a gathering. We will meet from 7:30am to 8:15am on Kite Hill at Gas Works Park. Hopefully the weather will be good and we can watch the sunrise which is at 7:55am. I will try to come early and may stay a bit late, but there are no guarantees of extra time.
