I've found at least a dozen "Pay it Forward" caches in the Cedar Rapids area. Couple that with 1,000+ caches I've signed in Linn County, and I'd say I owe it to this dedicated group of geocachers to place a few hides as a small token of my thanks. ______________________________________________________________________________________________
In 2021, there have been 130 Firefighter "In the Line of Duty" deaths in the United States this year; nearly double the average annual total. Most recently, Lt. Garrett Ramos of nearby Rock Falls FD, IL (Dec 4). I've witnessed some tragic house fires, and these brave men and women won't hesitate to enter a burning building. ______________________________________________________________________________________________
