Situated where the Manchester Ship Canal meets the Shropshire Union Canal the National Waterways Museum tells the story of Britian's inland waterways and the people who built, worked and lived on the canals. It boasts a collection of historic boats including the last surviving Mersey Flat Mossdale. The site is made up of a number of historic buildings that make up the former Neverpool Port which was designed by Thomas Telford.
The cache is regular sized container which is in-keeping with the narrowboating theme.
There is no need to enter the museum to find the cache however I do recommend having a look if you have time. If you're interested in visiting the Museum these are the general opening times, though I'd advise checking these on the website before your visit.
