I noticed the fire pit nearby GZ. Either it hasn't been used or they're very clean campers.
This trail is easy. Not much if any elevation change. Just thick laurel and rhododendron.
You are looking for a preform tube.
Cell reception is bad. So save offline or use a GPS.
SPOILER HINT since I don't want DNFs. It's about enjoying the hike and the location.
Locate the fire pit. With the road to your back, look to the right side of the trail for a large evergreen(Hemlock) standing high over the rhododendron. Go stand at the base of that big Hemlock. With the hemlock to your back, the cache is just 6-7 ft away from the tree, Hanging at 6ft high in the rhododendron.
