Traditional Cache at a little pond in Old Belvidere. There is no parking here and turning around difficult. Best to park a few meters away at the waypoint described in the listing, at the top of the little road or even at Holy Trinity Church and take a lovely stroll here. BYOP.
Please be mindful not to disturb the local birdlife - lots of grey herons like to nest in the trees here, the Cape Weavers are constantly chatting away, building nests and breedings and Egyptian Geese and Coots swim about and raise their young. If I knew my birds better I could probably name a few more. The little pond is the result of a little spring coming up here from an underground water body that many residents also use for their boreholes. And also the tireless efforts of one the neighbours, making and maintaining the little dam and keeping the pond free from too much reed and other vegetation, laying down stepping stones and generally keeping the area neat.
