This cache is on Hyndford Street in east Belfast, where singer and songwriter Van Morrison grew up. If you head down the street to house number 125, you'll see a small plaque on the wall noting that he lived there between 1945 and 1961.
There are other Van the Man-related caches in the area if you want to go for a bit of a walk while you're here. Try Power of the Hollow (GC9D84H), the location referenced in his 1967 song 'Brown Eyed Girl' ("Down in the Hollow / Playin' a new game"), adjacent to Elmgrove Primary School where Van (and I!) went to school; or Cyprus Avenue (GC9D83P), the place the young Van liked to walk as a child, immortalised in the song of the same name from his 1968 album Astral Weeks.
There are also several caches (such as Orangefield Tennis - GC9JWBH) in and around Orangefield Park, adjacent to the now-closed secondary school Orangfield High that Van attended after Elmgrove; his 1989 album Avalon Sunset includes the song 'Orangefield'.
Hyndford Street itself featured in the song 'On Hyndford Street' from his 1991 album Hymns to the Silence.
