O WŁAŚCICIELACH
Alfred Jarisch urodził się w 1884 roku jako syn austriackiego przemysłowca, Floriana Jarischa i Olgi Wandy Bauch. Florian Jarisch przybył do Łodzi w II połowie XIX wieku. Założył Fabrykę Wyrobów Bawełnianych i Lnianych przy ulicy Dąbrowskiego.
O PAŁACU
Willa została zbudowana w latach 1923–1925 na zlecenie braci Alfreda oraz Brunona Jarischów. Autorem projektu był wiedeński architekt Karl Seidl. Budynek mieści się na tyłach Kamienicy Floriana Jarischa, której front znajduje się przy ulicy Piotrkowskiej 153.
Posiada ona eklektyczną elewację z elementami neorenesansowymi, neoromańskimi i secesyjnymi. Wnętrza zostały przebudowane po II wojnie światowej. Zachowały się jednak sztukaterie i witraże.
Witraże powstały w pracowni, pochodzącego z Węgier, Dezyderego Mocznaya. Artysta ten - wykształcony w Berlinie, Wiedniu i Monachium – założył swoją pracownię w Zbąszynie pod Poznaniem. Prowadził tam szkołę witrażową, w której uczył się m.in. Stefan Nawrocki - od 1934 roku konserwator Zamku Królewskiego w Warszawie. W latach powojennych Nawrocki uczestniczył w odbudowie stolicy.
Ozdobą willi Jarischów są dwie loggie z lewej strony i okazałe schody z prawej prowadzące na parter i piętro. Pośrodku mamy wykusz półkolisty z wąskimi oknami, nad którym wznosi się wieżyczka, a także podwójne półkolumny między oknami na parterze i na piętrze. Dodatkową ozdobą są stylowe latarnie zawieszone zarówno przed wejściem, jak i na dziedzińcu (między willą a łącznikiem), którego niezwykły klimat tworzy pnący się po murach winobluszcz. Kolejne atrakcje kryją wnętrza rezydencji. Z dawnych dekoracji i wyposażenia przetrwały kasetony i piękne sztukaterie roślinne na suficie, marmurowy kominek z dwiema parami kolumn, przejście między pokojami w stylu mauretańskim i ciekawe witraże, na których można zobaczyć m.in. sowę, pająka, koguta, postacie mitologiczne oraz liście i tajemnicze kwiaty ogrodowe podobne do aksamitek.
Zachowały się też dwa sejfy: duży i mały, który swego czasu odkrył Ryszard Bonisławski. Ukryty był w dawnej sypialni za szafą z lustrem i najpewniej był miejscem przechowywania cennych precjozów przez panią domu.
PAŁAC DZIŚ
W czasach PRL między rezydencją a kamienicą ojca pojawił się łącznik zbudowany na potrzeby archiwum USC. W pałacu przez wiele lat (lata 60te do 90tych) mieścił się pałac ślubów. Aktualnie budynek wykorzystywany jest przez Urząd Miasta Łodzi jako Centrum Obsługi Mieszkańców Łódź - Śródmieście. Willa została poddana renowacji w 2007 roku.

ABOUT OWNERS
Alfred Jarisch was born in 1884 to the Austrian industralist, Florian Jarisch and Olga Wanda Bauch. Florian Jarisch came to Łodzi in the second half of the 19th century. He founded the Factory of Cotton and Linen Products at Dąbrowskiego Street.
ABOUT THE PALACE
The villa was built between 1923–1925 at the request of the brothers Alfred and Bruno Jarisch. The author of the design was the Viennese architect Karl Seidl. The building is located at the back of the Florian Jarisch tenement house, the front of which is at 153 Piotrkowska Street.
The villa has an eclectic façade with neo-Renaissance, neo-Romanesque and Art Nouveau elements. The interiors were rebuilt after World War II. However, the stucco and stained glass windows have survived.
The stained glass windows were made in the studio of Dezydery Mocznay from Hungary. The artist - educated in Berlin, Vienna and Munich - founded his studio in Zbąszyń near Poznań. He ran there a stained glass school. Among his students was Stefan Nawrocki - from 1934 the conservator-restorer of the Royal Castle in Warsaw. In the post-war years, Nawrocki participated in the reconstruction of the capital.
The Jarischs' villa is decorated with two loggias on the left and a magnificent staircase on the right leading to the ground floor and first floor. In the center there is a semicircular bay with narrow windows, above which there is a turret. THere are double half-columns between the windows on the ground floor and on the first floor. An additional decoration are stylish lanterns suspended both in front of the entrance and in the courtyard (between the villa and the connector), the unusual atmosphere of which is created by the vines climbing on the walls.
Other attractions hide in the interior of the residence. From the old decorations and equipments the following pieces have survived: beautiful plant stucco on the ceiling, a marble fireplace with two pairs of columns, the passage between the rooms in the Moorish style and interesting stained glass windows portraining an owl, a spider, a rooster, mythological characters as well as leaves and mysterious garden flowers similar to marigolds.
Two safes have also survived: a large and a small one. The small one was discovered by Ryszard Bonisławski. It was hidden in a former bedroom behind a wardrobe with a mirror. Most likely it was a place where the lady of the house kept her valuables.
THE PALACE NOWADAYS
In the times of the Polish People's Republic, a connector was built between the residence and the father's tenement house. It was needed by the archives of the Civil Registry Office. For many years (1960s to 1990s) the palace serbed as a wedding palace. Currentl the building is used by the City of Łódź Office as the Łódź - Śródmieście Residents Service Center. The villa was renovated in 2007.
