We were driving around some of the back roads in the area and discovered this piece of dairy history.
We haven't been able to find a lot of information about the Tantanoola Cheese factory but what is very interesting is that on Christmas Day every year local farmers would meet to socialise at the Dairy which formed the Once a year Club. The club was established in 1960 and continues to this day with the members recorded on the blackboard at the site.... what a wonderful tradition. And very appropriate for us to discover this time of year.
