It is difficult for ordinary families to own a garden in Shenzhen. In recent years, the Shenzhen government has experimentally built a series of community gardens. These small gardens are different from general landscaping in the city because they are built with deep participation of community residents. Also, the future maintenance is mainly contributed by residents. A garden designer once said that a community garden is to let a hundred people do what one person can do. I think this comment is brilliant.
I like the idea of sharing and collaboration of community garden. It is just like geocaching. I hope that the residents can keep taking care of their gardens, just like our COs keep maintaining their caches.
在寸土寸金的深圳，拥有一座花园不是普通家庭所能承担的。这两年，深圳政府探索性地建设了一些社区共建花园。这些社区花园跟一般的园林绿化不同，它们是由社区居民深度参与建设的，日后的维护也主要由居民出力。花园中也会定期举办一些亲子活动。一位设计师对社区花园曾有过这样的评论：社区花园就是把一个人能做的事交给一百个人去做。我觉得这句话说得特别精辟。
