Geocache Description:

09/18/2021 at WWFM XVIII Talk Like A Pirate Eve Event

SATURDAY February 26th, 2022 from 10am to 11am ET.

We will come-together & have a CITO here, in honor of CITOcacher who recently passed and was well-known for her efforts in giving-back whenever possible, and is missed immensely.

Even if all we find is snow and snowballs, we can pick those up as well.

We all have a passion in our lives, and our passions sometimes cross-paths with one another or those around us.
For all our knowledge, all our advances, life sometimes has its way of giving us a path that we do not always choose, but is far more fulfilling than we had ever planned or imagined.

CITOcacher had a passion for cleaning up the environment, and it was well-known and respected by everyone she met.  This passion went well with Geocaching as many times this activity takes folks places that aren't visited very often.  Even in those remote places, "trash"-relics and evidence that humans had been there seemed to remain. If there was something that didn't belong there, she made sure it got where it needed to go and would be properly disposed of either to a recycle container or refuse bag.

CITOcacher was a mother, a teacher, and very much a people-person.  She was known for being very patient, thoughtful, frugal, provident, and giving. She was erudite, had a sharp wit, and a passion for learning. She enjoyed reading, gardening, traveling, Geocaching and being in the great outdoors & nature.  She definitely was one person known for having fun.

CITOcacher and her beloved Scook enjoyed many years together, and his love of Geocaching inspired her.  This love was shared and inspired her even more in her volunteerism.  Her energy, patience, and presence enriched the lives of all those who they connected with in the "hobby" of Geocaching and other activities.  She enjoyed Geocaching immensely because of the information and exploration that this activity brings to those who are part of it.

She attended many CITO Events over the years and also hosted a few as well in that time along with Scook.

Her own words in her Geocaching "about her" do not tell enough of a tale of the person who was beloved by many, yet gave of her own time and efforts freely, in all that she did.

We miss you, and we will continue your work giving-back to the environment and and "CITOcaching", whenever we can.

From CITOcacher's Geocaching Profile:

I've enjoyed being a premium member & able to access all the caches & information provided. Besides Geocaching my passion is cleaning up our environment. Even if there is always one more piece of trash - it's my job to CITO. My husband Scook who has been a member since May of 2001, limits my trash hunting to only as much as will fit in our Geomobile Maxxine's cargo area. She has been a noble & patient partner - along with Scook. I Thank them both.
