The perfect geocaching to find with young kids - or those young at heart! Our family of little geocaching enthusiasts lives near this beautiful little place, Powell Butte. Located wel off the busy highway, the juniper sage forest in this public land location is great for wandering and finding treasures everywhere. Our favorite things to find are mariposa lilies in the hot summer, deer tracks year round, and the occasional owl sighting. Keep in mind that in the heat of summer, it's possible to see rattlesnakes and their look-alikes, bull snakes. As always in the high desert, travel with care and plenty of water.ย
