The park is located at 1515 West Blvd, Rapid City, SD 57701. During the Spring and Summer, this park has beautiful gardens to enjoy. During the winter months, the park is decorated with festive lights.
This park is wedged between Main Street and St. Joseph Street in Rapid City, SD. The four-acre park owes its name to James Halley, a prominent banker who also served two-terms as mayor in Rapid City between 1884 and 1888. Ken Stewart, historian at the South Dakota Historical Society, said the land that makes up Halley Park and West Boulevard was formerly owned by Halley. The city bought the land in 1939.
