Waitotara is a small riverside town just off State Highway 3, between Whanganui and Waverley. Although the area can flood at times the Waitotara Hotel has stood the test of time. The hub of the community of around 70 people. It is a multipurpose facility serving as a dairy, post office, accommodation, and of course the local bar. A popular stop for locals, fishermen, holidaymakers and anyone else heading out to Wai-inu Beach just 8 kilometers away.
The first cache we have placed, please let me know if the GPS is inaccurate. I'm planning a series of caches in the South Taranaki area. This has been placed with the owners permission and should be an easy find. Happy hunting!
