The Competition
Wangaratta Netball Association formed in 1937. Today it has over 1200 registered players. WNA runs two competitions, a Saturday Morning competition and a Wednesday night competition.
Girls begin netball at 8 years of age (or grade 3) with 'Netta' program and continue well into adulthood.
Today the Wangaratta Netball Association at the Barr Reserve is a fifteen court complex with an office, clubrooms, canteen, change rooms, toilets and spectator shelters. It is run by a dedicated group of volunteers and continues to provide support and encouragement to players.
I haven't seen many players of this shape, but they seem pretty solid, I don't think I would like to bump up against one in a game!
