JELENE (the deer) decided to pretend that there was a BEACH beside the Conestoga River in Lancaster County Central Park. January was an odd time to visit the beach, but she was avoiding the crowds. The L.O.S.T. Geocachers at their New Year event joined her on January 2nd, but they weren't too big a crowd for a fictional beach-goer. There were no bugs. And there wasn't snow. No blizzard. There was even grass for Jelene to munch on.
At the BEACH, Jelene spread out her BLANKET and relaxed. RUSTY (her friend, the fox) joined her. Of course, RUSTY likes to run around and PLAY with his fox friends. Jelene enjoyed watching the foxes romp in the SUN. Eventually, RUSTY and his buddies came over and flopped down on the BLANKET with Jelene to take a break.
The SUN warmed their thick fur. They took a nap.
But then one of the geocachers picked up a beachball and THREW it toward the blanket. Of course, the foxes had to PLAY with it. Foxes. Beachball. Teeth. Claws. Before long, there was a loud Pop! at the BEACH. Uh oh!
The JANUARY day beside the soothing WATERS of the CONESTOGA River had ended with a bang.
Approach final from sidewalk rather than bottom of hill. Be sure it is covered reasonably after you sign the log and put it all back.
