The Texas Spirit Quest
is a series of Caches placed by a few individuals, near cemeteries and historic sites in hopes of paying respect to the many pioneer ancestors that have ‘walked’ before us.
There are hundreds of cemeteries in the rural communities across Texas. This series will introduce you to many of them. The cache pages will provide a virtual history tour of the cemeteries, tombstones and local lore.
There are over 500 burials in this still-active site. It appears that the earliest internments may have been around 1901. There are *many* graves for which there is NO information about the decedent. Members of the Flores, Guerrero, Hernandez, Lopez, and Rodriguez families have been laid to rest here among many others. This is almost exclusively a Hispanic cemetery.
This site sort of bleeds right into the Cementerio Bautista site due north of here. As always, any refinements to the listed coordinates are welcomed.
