Lake Minnetonka has many islands, but only a handful are publically accessible. Even fewer have geocaches placed for the residents and visitors of this beautiful lake. This series strives to add recreational opportunities to the handful of public islands through the placement of simple traditional geocaches.
As with most island caches, a boat or ice would be very beneficial in finding this cache (in this specific case, swimming/wading is likely possible since the island is a short distance from shore).
There is a public boat ramp just west of GZ. There is some (signed) private land nearby, so be sure to respect the private property owners. Can't find any information about this island, but based on the lure I saw tied to a tree it seems to be popular with anglers. Since it is (to my knowledge) unnamed, I'd like to suggest the name "Cache Island" or "Cache Islet."
Not many hiding spots here, so the container is a camo bison tube. A tiny pencil is provided. Have fun and be safe.
