THIS IS NUMBER 13 OF THE SERIES OF WINTER SOLSTICE SUNRISE EVENT.S
As many who know me will remember I have hosted events to mark the solstices and equinoxes for many years.
I noticed that it wasn't being marked this year by the usual team so I've decided to hold one on the iconic Pendle Hill.
I have placed 4 potential parking places with approx walk times in to the event, you choose whihc best suits your needs and location.
Each route will require sturdy shoes, weatherproof clothing and includes uneven surfaces and considerable ascents.
YOU WILL NEED A TORCH because the event time is sunrise and it's dark before then, who'd have thought?
This morning the offcial sunrise time is 08:18 so it will occur just after the start of the event.
It might be a good idea to bring a hot drink and a snack to pass the time.
I will place myself just away form the trig on the steep downhill side, hopefully you will spot someone you recognise.
Please keep animals and children under supervision because it can be a dangerouse area.
Please log a 'will attend' if you hope to come, just so I know hoomw many to look for, however there will not be any roll call and if the weather is a little dreech I'll understand if numbers are lower than billed.
There will be a logbook to sign and I will randomly choose someone who will be invited to claim FTF on this cache.
Trackables can be exchanged but no LARGE ones please.
OK so that's the listing complete, hope to see you there.
