Here is where it all began for me. This was the location of my very first find with my husband and children in tow. We all hope for an exciting and creative adventure for our first cache hide, but when researching where to put a hide in my neighborhood I noticed that this milestone in my geocaching history was no longer and I thought it would be a fitting first hide.
Being that this is my first hide, I will make it an easy one. At Ground Zero you will find a set of 3 Geo-beacons. Focus on the center one to find this tiny container. Please bring your own writing utencil (a tweezers may come in handy for log removal) and roll the log up tight and place in the cap for easy closing. Enjoy the view. There is something to see here for all seasons... baby ducks in the spring, boats in the summer and fall, and ice shoves and ice fishermen in the winter.
As with any geocaching location, please be respectful of the properties near the cache. Do not go beyond the fence to the breakwater point. It's private.
Placed by golfhound in July of 2011, the original cache ran for 9 years. I have enjoyed many hides from this geocacher.
