Welcome to the Roosevelt Woodland Trail; dedicated open space in a beautiful area in Central Jersey. I found out about this area a while ago from a friend that lives nearby, and have been eyeing it up ever since. Fortunately, I finally made it out to place some caches. And then they sat because it turns out I placed them on a WMA. I have since found part of the trail that is not WMA. Enjoy. :-)
The cache:
What we have here is a 3 stage multi w/ a field puzzle component. Initially I had snapped some pics of some stones that I was going to use, but then became disappointed when I was easily able to look everything up on findagrave.com. So that went by the wayside. Luckily, Google tends to stop where dirt roads start, so they didn't ruin the fun by posting it all online for you to find either. Nope, you're going to have to go there.
Stage 1: The posted coordinates
Make your way to stage 1. I'm going to suggest parking at the coordinates I provided and making the hike. If you choose to park and leave your vehicle at the cemetery, you risk the following (noted in the municipal code):
k. No person shall leave any car unattended in the Municipal Cemetery. A car shall be deemed unattended if the driver is not present in the Municipal Cemetery or in the adjoining cemetery. Any person who is convicted of violating this paragraph k shall be liable to a penalty of not more than $50 or imprisonment for a term not to exceed 15 days, or both. Each and every day in which the violation of this paragraph exists shall constitute a separate violation.
So at the very least, be sure to leave a driver in the car. I assume services like Uber/Lyft would qualify, but I'd imagine they could get rather pricey quite quickly. You can just drive to the cemetery and then go find parking for the other 2 stages, but what's the fun in that?
Now, when you get to stage 1, you're going to see a very obvious stone. To avoid everything being looked up online, I can't even mention the name, but it's an obvious area. It's gated in. Or fenced in. Or piped in. Three of us couldn't come up w/ satisfying terminology to describe how this particular area is marked off; feel free to add suggestions. This is where the field puzzle piece comes in. Groups of 3 refer to the description below the Jewish inscription. Groups of 2 refer to the name on the stone. You should be able to figure out what's going on relatively quickly; particularly if you've done my other field puzzle in Belmar. It's nearly identical. Only different.

Once you've mastered the puzzle above, you may relax the brain and embrace the terrain.
I'll provide a checker for you in case you're unsure of your work. But you got this. I have faith in you. As always, don't forget a pen, or at least bring a knife so you can sign in blood. The only rule of the game is that you have to sign the log...
This is less difficult and lower terrain than originally designed, but those pesky WMAs just seem to keep getting in my way. There can be very significant signal bounce when the canopy fills in. You'll definitely benefit by seeking this one in the cooler months. But it's pretty in the summer too. Watch for bloodsuckers of all types.
