Geocache Description:

This is the bonus cache to the Benefactors of Ross-on-Wye Adventure Lab Cache.

John Kyrle (1637 - 1724) was born in Dymock, Gloucestershire and moved to Ross-on-Wye in the 1650s. He took up residence in the Tudor timber-framed house that he inherited from his father. This is the building opposite the Market Place, a place that he enjoyed watching and where he gave out fresh bread once a week to the poor. He provided The Prospect, an open space and brought water to the town. He became a great benefactor to the town and is buried in the chancel of St Mary's church where you can find out a little more about him.

Thomas Blake (1825 - 1901) was born at 35 Brookend Street above his father's hardware shop, now the Architectural Store. He became an equally great benefactor but less well-known. He lived in 'Lebanon', a turreted house along the Walford Road now known as Green Heys. He died at the age of 75 and is buried in St Mary's churchyard close to the Kyrle Gate. He improved the water supply, secured The Prospect, provided a Free Library amongst other things.

More information about both men can be found online, I have only scratched the surface here.

To find the bonus, use the clues you collected from the Adventure Lab and solve the formula below.

N51 54.(A×Y)(B+Y)((R+A)÷Y)  W002 35.(A÷Y)(B-R)B

Thanks go to Ross Town Council for allowing this Bonus cache to be placed and for the Adventure Lab to be set.
