Local landmark placed and maintained by a local family, located on public land. Lights are lit from roughly Thanksgiving to New Years every year, and it has been bringing joy to Glenn Highway commuters for a number of years.
Cache is a green bison and carabiner hung from the rebar on the north side of the tree at chest height and is not disguised in any way. Please be respectful of the other ornaments on the tree; many have been placed with special significance or in memory of someone. Notably, there are several black, bullet-shaped containers that are roughly bison-sized: these are not the cache.
For safety, park on the on-ramp, not on the side of the highway. The best access is from late fall through spring when the ground is frozen. Muck boots are highly recommended when the ground is not frozen.
