An easy short loop walk through the fynbos to the lagoon and back.
After completing the nearby Sea View multi (GCR9CK), I took the scenic trail back along the Palmiet river lagoon. It is a beautiful area packed with flowering fynbos that deserves a few more caches.
This region forms part of the Kleinmond Coastal Access Nature Reserve, which means that you must abide by the relevant rules, which include no fires, no camping, no picking wild flowers and no littering. Dogs are welcome here. There is no cost to access this trail.
Don’t be put off by the sewage works. Once you pass it on the way in, you don’t even realise that it is there at all.
The caches are quite easy to find and the short trail is mild.
It is recommended that you first do the multi (GCR9CK) and then collect the new caches in the way back. This loop route is about 2.5km long.
