Welcome to Minneola! The city of Minneola was incorporated in 1926. However, the town was here previously. In 1884, Mr. George W. Hull was instrumental in obtaining a survey and map of a town called Minneola. Minneola was a name his wife had chosen, and comes from the Dakota word meaning 'many waters'. Minneola was a citrus farming area, until the freezes in the 1980's. Today, it is a growing town that still feels like a small town. We shall see what the future brings.
