This cache is placed on the banks of the beautiful River Wye that flows through Rhayader and Cwmdeuddwr. It intersects a section of the Cwmdeuddwr wildlife walk and boasts beautiful views.
Rhayader has a wonderful variety of wild plants and animals living among its buildings, parks and gardens. The fast flowing, boulder strewn River Wye passes right through the town forming a very important natural corridor along which wildlife travels, enriching the town for the enjoyment of everyone.
This cache is an 'other/micro' cache.
You will need to bring a pen and tweezers for this cache.
The area is suitable for Geokids and Geodogs alike.
Please note this area at times after heavy rainfall can become flooded. If this is the case PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RETRIEVE THE CACHE AS THE WATER CAN BECOME VERY FAST FLOWING.
Parking is available nearby (Waypointed) the cache and so this can be done as a cache and dash if on the way to the lovely Elan Valley, or part of a lovely walk around Rhayader town.
