Please join us in Tatum, Texas for our “10th Annual Tatum CITO” event on the 23rd day of April in the year 2022.
Cache In Trash Out events are a way for geocachers to honor as well as help our geocache playing board. Most of us make a habit of picking up trash while we are pursuing those little yellow smilies, but CITO events allow us to make a group effort in a small area so we can really tell we’re making a difference.
We will start meeting up at 9:30 a.m. to sign the log and draw door prize tickets. The CITO event will begin at 10:00 a.m. Our civic service will conclude at 11:15 a.m. when we all muster at the posted coordinates for a group picture with all of our trash and trashy friends.
After a quick hand washing, everyone can grab their door prizes while homemade pecan pie is being served. I don’t know about y’all, but I think more events should be held with pecan pie being served.
At 11:45a.m., we will line up in a caravan to start the FTF hunt. We will have 10 new caches that should publish at about this time, and everyone gets to share the FTF on these new caches. If that’s not your thing, feel free to go caching on your own, check out the local festival, or whatever you want. The FTF caravan is always a lot of fun and loads of laughs.
As much as we want to see everyone there, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE STAY HOME IF YOU HAVE ANY COVID-19 SYMPTOMS OR HAVE RECENTLY BEEN EXPOSED TO ANYONE THAT HAD SYMPTOMS!
