The Saint #44: Saint Patrick
Saint Patrick was a fifth-century Romano-British Christian missionary and bishop in Ireland. Known as the "Apostle of Ireland", he is the primary patron saint of Ireland, the other patron saints being Brigit of Kildare and Columba. The absence of snakes in Ireland has been noted from as early as the third century by Gaius Julius Solinus, but later legend has attributed the banishment of all snakes from the island to Patrick.
To find this cache, you will need to find a snake in the puzzle below. Place a 1-cell wide snake consisting of orthogonality connected cells into the grid. The snake never touches itself orthogonally, but may touch diagonally. The triangles and squares are a map measuring the distance to the the head and tail of the snake respectively. Each shape clue also indicates how many of the 8 surrounding cells are part of the snake. The snake never goes through a clue cell. A small example is provided to help you understand the ruleset. Once solved, enter the number of snake cells in each row in to the checker (e.g. for the example 13310).
