One of my most vivid school memories is of my first day of Grade 1. I was overwhelmed walking into the classroom and looking at the letters on the wall. I remember thinking that the alphabet looked so foreign, it may as well have been Chinese. It was just as confusing as we started to learn it, too! H was N, P was R, B was V or W, depending on what part of the syllable it was! Not to mention that the alphabet had 33 letters... I'm sure you can imagine the confusion of my 6-year-old self! While I did eventually get the hang of it, it's been awhile since I've been in school and I'm feeling a little rusty.

I jotted down the above note while I was at GZ, but looking at it now, it seems like complete gibberish. I'm not even sure how I would pronounce any of these words — but there must be something to it, I just can't quite remember what. Perhaps it's time for me to go back to school and learn the alphabet all over again...
