Geocache Description:

NOT ACCESSIBLE FROM THE MOTORWAY

The Southern pathway was opened in May 2021 and incorporates a shared walkway and cyclepath alongside the Southern Motorway from Karaka to Takanini (or Takanini to Karaka). The Southern Path has scenic views over the Pahurehure inlet as you cross 2 bridges, and also follows the peninsula at Takaanini Point. There is access to a number of parks, reserves along the route and there are a number of entry points to the pathway. This 5 km path is a popular recreational choice for many locals and therefore stealth may be required when finding this cache.
