RIFUGIO MULINO DI LAVAL
Il rifugio escursionistico Mulino di Laval è posto a 1670 m slm sulla sinistra orografica del torrente Chisone all’imbocco del Parco Naturale della Val Troncea.
La posizione è ottima come punto di partenza e di arrivo per escursioni di varia difficoltà, permettendo di sfruttare in tutte le stagioni entrambi i versanti della vallata e tutti i percorsi presenti della Val Troncea (ora facente parte del più vasto Ente di gestione delle Aree Protette delle Alpi Cozie).
Il rifugio è facilmente raggiungibile a piedi o in macchina, sia d’estate sia d’inverno lungo la pista agro-silvo-pastorale segnalata nei pressi del punto informazioni all’ingresso del Parco Naturale Val Troncea.
Nel periodo estivo il rifugio è raggiungibile a piedi e in MTB, percorrendo la strada agro-silvo-pastorale presente sulla sinistra orografica del fiume. Sulla destra orografica è inoltre presente un’altra strada percorribile in auto, attraverso la quale è possibile raggiungere un parcheggio (a pagamento nel mese di Agosto) che dista circa 300 m dal rifugio.
Nella stagione invernale è raggiungibile a piedi, tramite un sentiero dedicato alle ciaspole o tramite gli sci da fondo. Nella zona esiste inoltre la possibilità di praticare lo sci alpinismo, con partenza o arrivo dal rifugio.
MULINO DI LAVAL REFUGE
The Mulino di Laval hiking refuge is located at 1670 m asl on the orographic left of the Chisone stream at the entrance to the Val Troncea Natural Park.
The location is excellent as a departure and arrival point for excursions of varying difficulty, allowing you to take advantage of both sides of the valley in all seasons and all the routes present in Val Troncea (now part of the largest management body of the Protected Areas of the Cottian Alps).
The refuge is easily accessible on foot or by car, both in summer and in winter along the agro-forestry-pastoral track marked near the information point at the entrance to the Val Troncea Natural Park.
During the summer, the refuge can be reached on foot and by MTB, along the agro-forestry-pastoral road on the left bank of the river. On the orographic right there is also another road that can be traveled by car, through which it is possible to reach a parking lot (for a fee in August) which is about 300 m from the refuge.
In the winter season it can be reached on foot, via a path dedicated to snowshoes or by cross-country skis. In the area there is also the possibility of practicing ski mountaineering, with departure or arrival from the refuge.
