In questo paesino ai confini della Francia si narra che la famosa “Maschera di Ferro” sia stata rinchiusa, per un breve periodo, nel Forte.
Una delle teorie dice che la Maschera di Ferro era uno di due gemelli, figli del re di Francia XVII sec.
Egli, essendo stato il primo genito, sarebbe diventato re.
Ma suo fratello-gemello, che era cattivo, non voleva che lui andasse al trono quindi gli mise in faccia una maschera (Appunto di ferro) che bloccò con un lucchetto per non farlo riconoscere a nessuno.
Successivamente lo rinchiuse in vari prigioni e in altrettante svariate fortezze sia in Francia che in Italia tra cui Exilles.
Sfortunatamente la famosa Maschera morì sull’isola di Santa Margherita.
In questo giro di geocashe torniamo indietro nel tempo nel 1680 (Un anno prima che fù trasferito di nuovo) e cambieremo il destino della Maschera di Ferro e lo aiuteremo a scappare!

In this village, Exilles (say //ex-hills// with the h mute)on the border of France it is said that the famous "La Maschera di Ferro" (In English Iron Mask) was locked up, for a short time, in the “Forte”.
One of the theories says that La Maschera di Ferro was one of two twins, sons of the seventeenth century king of France.
He, having been the first son, would become king.
But his twin brother, who was bad, did not want him to go to the throne, so he put a Mask of Iron (For this reason Maschera di Ferro) in his face and he blocked with a padlock so as not to make him recognize anyone.
Later he was imprisoned in various prisons and in as many various fortresses both in France and in Italy including Exilles. Unfortunately, the famous Maschera di Ferro died on the island of Santa Margherita.
