Geocache Description:

Originally way back in the olden times,  this park was a very popular train station. There was also a diner, a pharmacy, a general store and the post office. A regular hot spot! My Great- Great-Great Grandpa built his home by himself right on the corner of 4 mile road and West River Drive. During that time period he and his brothers worked for the railroad company. They helped place the original tracks throughout Comstock Park. To this day, the home is still owned and occupied by my grandparents who have refused to sell to the city for undesirable growth.

As i grew up I could hop the fence in the back of my grandparents yard, skip through the rear neighbors yard and be right at the train tracks. I spent hundreds of hours over the years exploring the park, catching minows in the creek, walking the train tracks and exploring all of the trails in and around the park. I have wanted to place a cache here for quite some time as the park will always hold a spot in my heart and so many wonderful memories over the years.

The new renovations caused the hides that were previously here to no longer be available but also created so many more possibilites for amazing hides! As we wondered the park on a cold and windy day we stumbled across this spot and as soon as i layed eyes on it, i knew it was The PERFECT place for a hide. Returning home to check the coordinate availability and I somehow managed to squeeze this one in just the right spot!

When it comes to Geocaching I am the biggest child at heart. I absolutely love the bigger containers, the awesome swag, and every aspect that a 5 year old would enjoy. This means when I place my hides I always want them to be the most kid friendly and the most fun possible.

Youre looking for a black snap lock container in an extremely obvious location. You might have to reach as far as your tiny arms will go or maybe shove a small child in after it. :) Plenty of room for small swag or smaller trackables. This is meant to be especially fun for the micros as its an easy find, a safe location, and well, DUH! SWAG!!

FTF Prize bag included inside with a Geocaching sticker, a chinese luck coin and a handmade keychain by me for your Geo-Bag. I hope you all enjoy this very typical, hide and get as excited about its location as I did!
