This cache is located in the grand and glorious town of Wheelock! The building at this site was once the Wheelock post office. In its early days Wheelock was frequently visited by Sam Houston, was once the home of numerous saloons, a horse track, a gin, a rooster fighting pit and several general stores among other things. Important enough at one time to be a serious contender for both the site of the capitol of Texas and the University of Texas.
