The Geocaching Capital of Canada is located in Ontario and is comprised of a string of seven hamlets: Irondale, Gooderham, Tory Hill, Wilberforce, Harcourt, Highland Grove and Cardiff. Most are located within the Municipality of Highlands East (Harcourt being the exception) and all are nestled on the eastern side of the Haliburton Highlands, on the edge of the rugged Canadian Shield.
This is prime Geocaching Country, a geocacher's paradise offering creative caches hidden in and around magnificent forests and pristine lakes where you can enjoy leisurely and muggle-free geocaching on foot, by bicycle, on horseback, ATV or snowmobile, or by simply driving the scenic back roads.
It is a registered GeoTour with Headquarters and the story of how it got started is nothing short of ingenious and a lot of hard work. When visiting please be sure to ask Tupper the Turtle to share his story
This jigidi puzzle is a compilation of just some of the caches in the GCC. Each one unique and well deserving of the thousands of favourite points they have earnt. Check it out on geo.com, give it a google..look them up on FB ..its a geocacher's paradise.

Being from Ontario, I was fortunate enough to live a couple of hours away from the GCC and along with the many, many memories and moments there I also got to meet some super cachers from BC ... now its time to share those memories with you..enjoy <3
