West Midlands 2022
Marchington, Life in the Country
When: Thursday 4th August, 11:00
Where: The Dog and Partridge, Church Lane, Marchington
DO NOT PARK HERE!
The village can't handle more than about 6½ cars at any one time. Instead, please walk here along any of the several Mega walking routes, or catch the local bus. If you can walk, please DO NOT DRIVE!
Thursday is options day! You can experience Life in the City by heading off to Brum for a day of sightseeing and caching in Europe's largest local authority area or you can stroll through the countryside for a day of calm, quiet, peace, and caching in the small village of Marchington. Your choice!
Food Options:
Our geocaching-friendly host Richard has arranged a special Geocachers lunch menu for us - hot or cold cobs (baps, rolls, or whatever you call them), vegan, pork, or cheese, perfect for a refuel on a good walking day. He'll also be running his usual classy menu (the menu varies, please see the menu on the day) and wide range of local beers.
We now have the option of Pre-orders for the Cob/Roll ..

Walking options:
Several walking options will be posted in July - both short loops and long-distance options to or from Hatton Station (near Tutbury Castle).
By Bus:
The 402 has a good service from Uttoxeter station. The last bus back is at 6:40pm
By Car:
Please don't. This event is all about enjoying the countryside. If you simply have to (eg complex disability), please car share and there is a good car park a short distance away at the Silver Lane Rec Ground (N52 52.329 W001 48.055) where your chauffeur can await your pleasure.
