The Parish of St Anne with St Mark and St Thomas

The Parish of St Anne with St Mark and St Thomas is located in Greenbank on the edge of Eastville in east Bristol. It was built in 1900-1 as a mission church of St Mark's (Easton), to a design by Sir George Oatley. A much larger church was planned originally, but the First World War intervened, and money ran out; however a sanctuary was added to the original plan, and in 1926 St Anne's was created an independent parish.
The parish was expanded in 1976 by the addition of that of St Thomas the Apostle's in Stapleton Road, when rotting timbers resulted in the building being no longer viable to maintain. A further expansion of the parish occurred in 1984, when the former parish of St Mark's, Easton, was added, when a similar issue troubled St Mark's Church fabric. Hence the parish is now known as "St Anne with St Mark and St Thomas, Eastville".

The cache has been placed in the community garden with kind permission from the church. Thank you churchwarden Carla and team.
The church and cafe staff are aware of the geocache so try not to feel awkward retrieving it.
The community garden gates and cafe are open during the day (Waypoint 1).
At other times you can still access the cache from the main entrance (posted coordinates) and follow the path parallel with St Leonards Road.
The churchwarden has said it can be accessed at any time but I would not attempt this cache at night.
To calculate the coordinates find the 2 numbered birdboxes at:
