The community of Rocky Branch has been here since the late 1870's. It was named for the site of a sawmill and gristmill. A post office opened in 1890 and remained in operation until 1904. In 1896 t ecommunity had a population of 50. In the year 2000 the population was 135. It's not likely that there are anymore people here today. But this cache is placed in the heart and soul of the community.
