This letterbox commemorates the 100th anniversary of Betty White's birth. It is unfortunate that she passed just 17 days short of this day.
The stamp remains in the box and is used to stamp your own logbook of stamps. As is the tradition with letterboxing, please bring your own ink. This stamp was carved with black ink in mind. The image I carved is from the Wikipedia article on Betty White.
You will want to appreciate the little hollow in a tree you will pass on your way here, at a "T" in the trail. Someone has been making a small display in this hollow. The day I placed this letterbox there were (plush) squirrels (or maybe chipmunks) in the hollow.
Congratulations to desert dawg, ETrunner and BFin on being first-to-find on this letterbox cache.
