Wherever possible please always stay on existing paths to reduce damage to the plants and wildlife living in this area. Camping, off-road vehicles and fires are strictly prohibited in this area. Dogs are welcome, but if you have one, please take care to clean up after them. For this cache, sturdy shoes and long trousers are strongly recommended.
Easy to find but hard to get to, this cache will be a challenge, it's been placed with a few things inside already ready to be exchanged.
Once you arrive, you'll be able to look out over the river Neath to see Baglan Bay Beach & the energy plant. To get here you'll have travelled across the sand dunes and saltmarsh which support a stunning array of wild flowers, attracting insects and the birds and small mammals that feed on them. The beach is an important feeding and roosting area for wading birds such asthe sanderling, oystercatcher and ringed plover.

This geocache has been authorised by NRW & Ben Samson, the biodiversity officer of Swansea University. If you too would like to place a geocache within the Crymlyn Burrows, please contact wildlife@swansea.ac.uk for further information and guidance.
