Welcome to Veterans Memorial Park & Railroad in beautiful Bristol Florida. This park was founded in 2001 when a group of local people interested in both railroading and community services banded together to install a passenger train at Veterans Memorial Park in Bristol. This locomotive is the only coal fired live steam locomotive operating in a public park in Florida. This little train requires a lot of work from a engineer and fireman in the cab to keep it running shoveling coal and watching gauges. In Bristol during christmas time visitors can ride the train thru the park and imagine they are on the popular Polar Express Train. This is a easy p&g near the entrance to the park.
