Geocache Description:

Feb 2, 2022 Edit: Congrats to TerryerPaula and Butterfly5 for the shared FTF! J

Welcome to Belleville Public Library!

This Geocache can only be found during the library’s open hours: Monday to Thursday 10am-8pm, Friday and Saturday 10am-5pm, and Sunday 1pm-5pm. Visit bellevillelibrary.ca for details.

Go to the Posted Coordinates and find a sign on a brick wall.
Project a bearing of X metres at Y degrees where:

X = The number of letters in the first twelve words on the plaque
Y = The year on the plaque minus 1800

This is where you will discover the cache.

In the library, non-fiction books are found on the second floor and organized by the Dewy Decimal System. The geocache is hidden in the non-fiction collection and has a call number in the form ###. Solve three challenges to determine each digit of the call number.

The first geocacher to find this cache can take the FTF trinket found inside. The trinket was printed using the library’s 3D Printer!

Challange 1: Level Up

Look for the directory in the atrium of the library. On the directory the floors are coloured green, yellow and light blue. Which floor is light blue?

Take this number and subtract 1. The result is the third digit of the call number (###) where you will find the cache.

Challange 2: Quilt of Books

Locate the quilt hanging on the wall across from the elevator on the second floor.

How many petals are on the flower on the spine of the third book in from the left on the bottom shelf?

This number is the second digit of the call number (###) where you will find the cache.

Challange 3: Shakespeare Window

Locate the Shakespeare stained glass window on the second floor inside the library. Count the number of letters in the word at the top that is surrounded by blue. Divide this number by two to get the first digit of the call number (###) where you will find the cache.
