Geocache Description:

Sheldrake Lake is located in northeastern New Rochelle. This man-made "lake", created from the Larchmont Water Company Dam #2 on the Sheldrake River, once served as the water supply for the Village of Larchmont. The stone dam was built in 1935 and measures over 30 feet high and more than 1,000 feet long. Sheldrake Lake is now part of a 60+acre James G. Johnson Conservancy and permanently protected from future development.

There are some beautiful sights along the lake and it seemed the northern section was due for a hide. Cache is a small, clear plastic container with a log and some small tradeables inside.
