Entwife and I walk this circular route from Westmill (where there is parking available) to Pirton and back quite frequently, most often when we have one of the family dogs on loan. Although at weekends it can be quite busy with cyclists and walkers plus the occasional horserider, at other times it is quiet. The route is not strenuous and for much of the year it is dry underfoot, so suitable footwear only, nothing special. The tracks are also reasonable for strollers, but a bit bumpy for their occupants. In all about a 3.5-mile circuit - how long it takes will depend on how long it takes to find the caches and how fast you walk. You can park at Westmill where there is a small parking area which can become full at weekends as several routes start from here. Alternatively, you could park somewhere in Pirton where there are several additional caches to take in.
Information for 3-Ways:
Although it was originally on the sign and then the post it was regularly muggled. The cache was archived because no one could find it although it was easily located in the winter. Rather than being in the open, it has been relocated to an easier to spot place. It is still magnetic.
Update October 2024 - Container relocated. now a hanging bison tube.
