Geocache Description:

This multicache will take you on a short walk through Pitshanger Park. It should be around a 15-20 minute stroll.

You will find the final cache at:

3A.BCD

1E.FGH

To find the co-ordinates, visit the Posted Coordinates, then follow the Waypoints to the other 2 locations.

Posted Coordinates

Here at the entrance to Pitshanger Park you will find an information board. Use the information to answer the following two questions.

1. Pitshanger park is part of which bigger park? The first word will give you B.

2. Complete this sentence: The park's mature trees, hedgerows, ditches, and the river itself are all ________ for wildlife. The missing word is C.

Now open Waypoints and follow the path towards Location 2...

Location 2

You should be standing in front of a building next to a playground. Answer these two questions:

1. What is this building? The middle word of its 3 word title will give you E.

2. Look into the smaller playground. What is the name of the person whose house has a black roof and rainbow lettering? This is F.

Now open Waypoints and walk past the tennis courts to Location 3...

Location 3

You should be near a new addition to the park - the Pet Post. Answer these two questions:

1. How many pets called Jody are there? This is A.

2. What breed of animal is Poppy? This gives you D.

Now open Waypoints and walk to Location 4...

Location 4

You should be outside a gate. Answer these two questions:

1. You can stop and drop for 20 mins max. This is Rule 1G.

2. Look through the fence to the notice board. It was donated in memory of two local people - how many Ls are there in their names? This gives you H.

You should now have all the information to find the final cache. There is a solution checker (if using the app, click "view in browser").

Safety and Accessibility

The whole walk is wheelchair accessible on concrete paths, however the final cache will require you to go across grass (which can be muddy in the winter). You may be able to reach the cache from seated, but it's quite a reach.

The walk takes you through some of the busiest areas of the park, and the playground area can be particularly loud.

Please make sure the cache is replaced in exactly the same place as found and "tucked in" behind so it can't be seen.
