Geocache Description:


Highway 20 in Iowa has been officially dubbed the "The Medal of Honor Highway". Ceremonies for the honors were held by veterans on both sides of the state in Dubuque and Sergeant Bluff. Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds signed a bill making it official in June 2021. Iowa joins other states entitling the highway to honor fallen soldiers. Highway 20 stretches from Oregon to Massachusetts. Cache is placed hoping that all Iowa Counties will participate.  The cache is placed with respect just north of US 20 at a fitting spot at a Holstein Veterans Memorial Park. What a poignant moment to place this cache near the Ida County Freedom Rock. :(
