I put out the YEG series to celebrate some of the great things and places around Edmonton. I picked one place or thing for each letter of the alphabet. There might be some disagreement on what to use as sometimes there were more than one for each letter but I tried to pick something that I thought was very interesting or unique about Edmonton.
The U of A was founded in 1908 and it is an academic research university with around 40,000 students from Canada and around the world. The main campus overlooks the North Saskatchewan River but there are 3 other campuses in Edmonton including South Campus near Foote Field, Campus Saint-Jean and Enterprise Square. There are 18 faculties and about 150 buildings on the north campus and I had classes in every major building but I probably spent the most time in RATT, Dewey's and the Power Plant.
